A “social entrepreneurship” venture initiated
to bridge rural crafts people with urban markets. The store ‘boasts’ exquisite
paintings of 15 tribal and folk art forms, a wide repertoire
of handicrafts (over 40) from across India and specialises
in wall murals. Our vision for the store is to develop an
enterprise that operates on a profit sharing system where
over 60% of proceeds will go directly to the crafts people,
30% to promote the arts and administrative expenses kept
at well under 10%.
